Water filtration Station

Can you add something similar to the water filtration machine from Sub 1? It’s annoying having to find thoes slugs just for water.

use fiber at the processor and it makes water

so if you progress the game you will get something that can be compared to this in some way, just not completely close but having the feature that sn2 has we shouldnt have the water filtration

Agreed, especially since many biomes don’t have slugs, or atleast a lot of slugs.

As a workaround, you can farm fiber and use that in the processor. It’s still way too manual for how much water I end up consuming, but it’s definitely less of a hassle (and less heartbreaking) than putting the terrified slugs in the juicer.

This is actually really annoying. If it was supposed to be fun to harvest an army of water slugs it isnt. It really isnt.
It is a survival game and the player is able to build a multitude of advanced tech. Of all things missing or removed from previous titles I cant understand this one.
Please bring it back in some useful Form.

I think if we don’t get a filtration station they should definitely up the spawn of slugs near the alien observatory or add another fish similar to the bladder fish for easy access. You hemmorrhage water in the game even with the passive

I really agree they have the technology for space flight and building everything under water! by the way it is way harder to live and build under water then it is in space!! so we can do all that but can’t filter water??? hmmm.

I would say that this isn’t really a great issue as there are solutions but are just not currently usable.
currently in game there are bio mods that have effects on survival stats
the two involving water are water retention and water secretion
with water retention doubling the amount of water provided by items and water secretion producting a small about of water (+5 water) a intervals (like the filtration suit) but currently in early acess you can only have one bio mod slot at a time. but they have said you will be able to have multiple passive slots so introducing something like a filtration module to a base would over do it when multiple bio mod slots get added or just made the bio mods obsolete

Side Note: for current water issues in late early acces just plant like 6 fresia flowers or for better production macaroni sponges in a growbed and use the fiber to make water in a PROCCESSOR which is NOT a fabricator
What I do is I have set a processor just for water go out harvest the fiber stuff then load it all in do whatever to wait then put all the water into a floor locker and repeat untill it’s full. it doesn’t take as long as you might think.

This is probably a very, VERY niche reason, but I’d love for there to be a less-murdery method of water production at the game start. In Below Zero, you could get water from Creepvine Seed Clusters at the very start. In this game, there’s no such early-game equivalent, forcing new players to kill Water Slugs for water (the odds of finding a Processor before Thirst becomes an issue are very, very slim for them).

I think many vegetarians / vegans would appreciate having at least some sort of no-kill option for obtaining water in the game’s earliest stages, even if it isn’t particularly efficient (I think Seed Clusters only gave +10 Water).

Acknowledging using fiber in the processor. We absolutely need something more effcient, getting to the point in the game where you can grow flora takes time, we are hampered by limited inventory when cutting fibrous, and if you are doing the grunt work for a base of 4 you will never get out to explore.

I’m also acknowledging the non-murderous option. The seed cluster analogy is brilliant, and…just feels right. Consider me on board. Good suggestion.

Sei que existem soluções fáceis pra obter agua alem das lesmas, mas o Filtro de água poder gerar Sal e água de forma automática era legal e interativo.

@TrimTale605 – I’ve discovered a way, but…you have to know where everything is, including the processor nearest the lifepod, and that shouldn’t be the case. You don’t have to be vegan/vegetarian in real life to be repulsed by the notion of killing those adorable slugs for water. Nutrition bars are all over the place, but only a few bottles of water in nearby crates and caves. And why would the inability to digest until you have the adaptation apply to food and not water? Fine. Make bottles of water hard to find at the beginning, but kindly don’t leave us no other recourse.

I think water filtration systems might be a cool addition, while it is fine to have the functionality covered by the processor (and metal farm, which could possibly be available much later in the finished game).

Concerning the comment wishing for an early game alternate water source, Cherimoya Rotsac might work raw, though, it is not exactly a plant either. Personally, I like the idea to fabricate consumables from raion pouches, e.g. https://subnautica2.nolt.io/8638

Desalination can also provide salt for making the better tiers of food easier.
