I Want to Dive Into Subnautica 2’s Lore — Not Fight the Menus

I absolutely love the survival aspect of Subnautica 2, but what I love even more is its story and all the lore surrounding the characters.

However, I feel that the conversation logs, black boxes, audio journals, and all the information we discover throughout the adventure are often too messy and mixed together with biome data, resources, and technical information. Because of that, it’s not always clear or enjoyable to reread.

As a French player, even with the French translation, I often have to go back and reread certain parts several times, and sometimes I get lost because the presentation isn’t clear or organized enough. I think that’s a shame, because the story is one of the most fascinating parts of the game.

I already felt this way in previous Subnautica games, and I was hoping to see improvements in this area for the sequel. I would really love to see a more readable interface, with for example:

a clear separation between lore and gameplay information;
a dedicated tab only for conversations and important events;
a simpler chronological organization;
a cleaner layout to make reading easier.

The universe of Subnautica is incredible, and it would be amazing to be able to immerse ourselves even more deeply into its story without having to search through menus all the time.
