UE5 Is main stream, there’s plugin from all company (Nvidia (the versions are outdated), AMD, Intel) to copy, paste and compile to add their upscalers and other technologies, implementing FSR 4.1 and XeSS 2.0.2.68 shouldn’t take any efforts and ther’s no reason it’s not in game (unless the company has been payed by Nvidia to not do so, or that the dev/optimizisation team really hate the others company). Improving performances by simply implementing the technologies of those companies would improve game performane, ilage quality, and would improve sales, because multiple people could buy the game justto try their new tech in it, it could also be sponsored/advertised by Nvidia, AMD, Intel, beacsue the game would show up on their website like a game to try the brand new DLSS 4.6 (and their related tech), FSR 4.1 (and their related techs), XeSS 2.0.2.68 (and their related techs), literally free advetisement at the cost of a copy and paste.
Adding a advanced settings menu would be awesome (menu where user can tweak game engine settings with a warning to touch them if they know what they are doing) being able to modify game engine to fix performance issues by not smart settings, or simply tby changing a settings who increase/decrease perofrmance on one specific device (like Asynchronous computing who doesn’t always improve perfomance but is nice on machine that do benefit from it). The game is heavily lacking of game settings option (like with TSR, not being able to disable the frame target is sad, because if someone want to get 60 FPS the game might reduce their reoslution by half just to improve FPS and going from 720p upscaled to 1080p to 360p upscaled to 1080p is nighmare fuels, I got a nice imagine, but can’t imagine how awful the game must looks like for more budget/older configurations.
Taking advantge of new technologies would be nice too (like latest D3D12, shader model 6.10, AVX-512, DirectStorage 1.4*, will need of course so fallback in case a PC cant support those, but for newer hardware this is definitely a plus. Can also try to reach out to a company for help (like Intel tried to offers developper and GPU to Pearl Abyss to make the game running well on Intel Arc and to get their XeSS technologies)
Still in the more options subject, options for TAA/FXAA/DLAA/MSAA/SSAA/MLAA/SMAA or just off, is always nice to have, gie the players more options, you lose nothing by doing so.
Exploit the PCs: If someone have a 9800X3D/5090 and 64GB of RAM with a Gen 5 drive, make a plugin/benchmark who can offload/load more game texture/process in the RAM/VRAM/CPU threads, after all, if the game is doing 14.8GB, why not loading the ENTIRE GAME directly into the RAM/VRAM, fast loading/texture loading and no stutter (even if Ihave to admit, the game might have bad performances FPS wise, I have never had any stutters or crash, well done)
Sorry for spelling/syntax mistake, and have a nice day Unknow World, may the road to 5M sells be soon with all the improvement to come. And hopefully, to come soon with the 5 minute copy, paste, compile plugin :D
