Improved Scanner Room

B

The new Scanner Station in Subnautica 2 really needs an overhaul to bring back the depth and visual style we had in the original game. Right now, looking at a flat radar screen feels like a major step backward, and the system itself is way too limited since we can only search for raw materials, Alterra bases, and a tiny handful of plants.

The main thing we need is the return of the iconic 3D holographic topographic map table as the core interface, along with these essential features:

Real-time creature scanning: We need to be able to scan for wildlife again. Crucially, it needs to track them dynamically in real time as they move around, not just show a static “last known location” dot.

Scan for all plants: The current limitation doesn’t make much sense. We should be able to scan for any plant type in the environment, not just a selected few.

HUD Chip integration: Bring back the wearable HUD chip so we can actually see our scanned targets on our display while swimming outside the base.

Individual Creature Egg scanning: The system should have a dedicated option to search for creature eggs. Since eggs aren’t fully in Subnautica 2 yet, adding this scanning feature alongside their implementation would be a massive quality-of-life upgrade.

Camera Drones and Range Upgrades: We need controllable Camera Drones back for safe scouting, and stackable range modules to expand how far we can scan.

Please consider giving the scanner station the same depth and utility the original room had!

Concordo plenamente, se tratando da evolução tecnologica da Alterra em podermos ser reeimprimidos não faz sentido uma sala de scanner tão inferior a do primeiro jogo.
