Please allow us to skip night with a bed its really annoying to have to wait to do anything the only thing you could reasonably do at night is resource collection

I think its good as is. Skipping the night can allow players to avoid ever going out at night and miss some of the fear factor of the game. Also having to get through the night means you’re forced to diversify your power generation rather than have 10 solar panels and never touch your electricity systems again.

only a very ealry game problem sub 4-5 hours playtime, since you will have enaugh power generation tools that dont need sun after that, so i think its fine as is. just one of the struggles early on you need to fix yourself.

This wasn’t an issue in SN1 because the solar panels had builtin power storage, I think the better solution would be to bring back a bit of power storage so you can keep doing stuff at night.

Honestly could work well even with the power argument if you just make time actually pass. So if your power cant keep up at night you will not have oxygen produced and will die in your sleep lol

I think it should only let you sleep if it calculates that you wont run out of power over the night. Either it wakes you up when it runs out of power or a message like “Not enough base power to sleep”
Make it like in mincraft so everyone goes to sleep and then it skips

∗∗∗∗ no, terrible idea. Choosing to overcome your fear and go out or just sit tight in shivers is an epic experience. Don’t overcasual the game!

Either way you can just wait out the night by sitting doing nothing in your base, therefore still skipping the night. This would just be so much more convenient and easy.

I think you can’t skip night in a multiplayer game… or at least it wouldnt make sense.
I think adding sleeping would be a negative change to the games atmosphere and gameplay. To me being able to just skip the night is purely driven by convenience and wanting to lessen the difficulty of the game. Also in the perspective of reprinted humans I don’t think sleeping would make sense narratively. Sure it would be convinient sometimes but I think this change would only be favored by players who want shortcuts.

I think it could be added as an option in custom game settings, but as a default one I would leave it the way it is. It adds a necessary additional difficulty to the game, that feels, personally, way too easy at this stage.
