Different POIs and locations shouldnt get markers or get seen on a map. They should be found by pure exploring like in the first subnautica. The more important locations should in worst case get a depth clue so you know how deep you need to go. But i want it more exploration focused so you dont miss biomes because there is no need to go there. I want there to be a reason to explore everything, not because there is something there but for the chance that it may be.

Bumping this as I came to say the same thing. The current version of the game walks you through the main story. As soon as you complete one POI, NoA gets an alert of the next.
I think changing NoA’s transmission distance to be 100m or so as well as making the NoA blueprint more expensive/energy demanding, would reduce this problem while still giving players the option to opt into this handholding by building NoA outposts in new locations. Even then, I’d much rather if NoA was picking up signals from a general direction/area rather than pinpointing them.
Personally, I’d prefer if the exploration and finding POIs was driven by the data downloads the player can find, given hints/directions of where to explore next.
