Seafrog's ability to deconstruct the debris of the Cicada

Q

With the upcoming addition of the Seafrog chassis for the tadpole and resource crusher in Subnautica 2, I believe that it should also have role in cleaning up the debris of the Cicada ship that has landed into the beautiful biomes of Subnautica 2.

The Seafrog chassis has obviously proved itself to be a valuable and reliable asset in not only it’s unique abilities of carrying large resources and harvesting larger materials with it’s claws without the use of a sonic resonator, but its appearance and showcase of strength has proved that it can do much more than what it may have been planned to currently do within the DevLogs.

As it appears currently, the Seafrog is a mid to late game chassis. For this reason alone, I believe it is a great balanced addition for players to have the ability to pick up scraps of larger debris from the Cicada, while having the ability to harvest it for resources. Whether some debris is small enough to be crushed by the claws of the Seafrog in exchange for resources, or debris too large that it needs to be harvested into the resource crusher, I believe this would make players value the Seafrog even more when the main job with the trenches is over.

With this addition in mind, this can benefit both the player and the life below the surface. More sealife will be able to flourish without debris preventing their growth and players will be able to obtain a far better view at what Proteus used to be before it was tainted by the debris of the Cicada that brought them here.

I believe it brings the relationship of the Pioneers and the marine life on Proteus together in an effort to replenish what was lost and be able to thrive and grow together by implementing this addition in any shape or form.

  • New plants can grow
  • Animals are seen in bigger numbers
  • Animals of appropriate size/appearance of a neighboring biome can rely on a cleaner area, diversifying the cleaned up biome.
