Neutralization System

F

Many players, including me, would like to see a way to make dangerous creatures in the game no longer a problem. I get that the Subnautica 2 team would like to stray away from killing creatures and so I would like to offer an alternative. A way in game where the player can neutralize the enemy permanently in some way via some new tool or device that permanently disables the enemy creature so long as the device is active.

To me adding a feature like this is more of a must have since it has been a minor yet crucial part of the past games. Even though some players may not appriciate killing an enemy creature in game (though that isn’t what I am suggesting to be added) the majority of the fan base for these games are generally detered long term in playing Subnautica 2 or at least discouraged. I believe this is because, in the long term of playing the game, there is a great feeling of despare knowing that there is no way to balance the problem that you can die over and over again and you as the player have no power other than delaying the inevitable via whacking the creature until it runs away scared and then later comes back, over and over, to then deminish your health and supplies until the only thing you can do is bite the bullet and die losing progress and resources.

I think adding a feature that makes the player have some control of permanently limiting or restraining the creatures in game to make it more balanced for gameplay is somewhat a necessity for the longevity for the game.
