Improving Base Building

L

Hello Subnautica 2 Development Team!
I would like to suggest several features that could improve the construction, organization, and customization of underwater bases.

  1. Add Sloped Corridors
It would be interesting to be able to build upward and downward sloping corridors, allowing players to directly connect two floors at different heights.
This would provide an alternative to ladders and allow players to create more unique bases, with sloped passages connecting different sections.

  2. Add New Types of Vehicle Bays
I would like to have more options for building vehicle garages, particularly by bringing back certain features from previous Subnautica games.
It would be interesting to be able to:

  3. Suspend vehicles from the ceiling or keep them elevated, as in Subnautica 1, making them easier to see and display while parked.
  4. Build vehicle bays with a side entrance integrated into a wall, similar to the Seatruck Dock in Subnautica: Below Zero, allowing vehicles to enter horizontally rather than from below.
  5. Have several vehicle bay configurations to create more varied garages that better fit the architecture of different bases.
These features would allow players to design underwater vehicle hangars that are more visually appealing, practical, and customizable.

  6. Add Customizable Storage Labels
I would like to be able to place visual labels on storage lockers to make their contents easier to identify.
    These labels could:

  7. Display the icon of an in-game item (titanium, copper, quartz, etc.).
  8. Be attached directly to storage lockers.
  9. Be customized by selecting the item displayed.
  10. Allow players to quickly identify stored resources without having to open each locker.
This system would make organizing large storage rooms much easier.

Thank you for your work on Subnautica 2 and for taking the time to read my suggestions for improving base building in the game!
