i feel like something BZ was lacking/2 is currently lacking is more intense music, Ben Prunty is a really wonderful composer and i really love his work on the two games buuut i feel like 2’s soundtrack should go a bit harder!!! so much of the soundtrack is calm, ambient music, and as good as it sounds i think it should have some more diversity so the individual tracks stand out from one another. perhaps its just due to the lack of things that would warrant it (for example we havent had anything as panic-inducing as a cyclops fire since the first game), so maybe the game could also use some more of those situations? right now it feels like the scariest the game ever gets is when you’re getting chased by a leviathan, which is kinda just par for the course with these games. i dunno, just feels like the game is playing it too safe and doesn’t want to overwhelm the player outside of specific “Danger Zones”, would be nice if base floods came back (maybe base fires could be a thing???), or if there was a high-commitment vehicle similar to the cyclops where losing it would be devastating, etc etc IDK
tl;dr the soundtrack needs more than just calm ambience, and the game needs a little more variety with its scary situations!! right now the only scary track is the generic leviathan chase music, and the only scary situations in the game are the generic leviathan chases!!

-obviously it could just be a side effect of the game being in super early access, but i still wanna voice this since below zero’s most intense moments were nothing compared to what the first game had you doing so i wanna make sure they hit the mark this time!!!!
also, i imagine it’s been brought up quite a bit but some changes need to be made to the current leviathan music imo, it’s a decent track but it gets really repetitive really fast and is way too obvious a tell when something is after you, i think it would work best when the threat in question is too close for you to hide from, instead of playing when something is like a hundred metres away and you can just get rid of it by hiding behind a rock, yknow?

I don’t like losing the cyclops/bases. I like my bases, big subs, and even my vehicles, and wouldnt want any type of sad moments in the game
