Upgradable Radios

I think an upgradeable radio system would be sick and would work really well with proximity chat.

You could start with a basic radio that only works at a short distance, then slowly upgrade it to increase the range.

It could even have its own equipment slot where you can add things like better antennas or other upgrades.

I also think there should always be a range limit so proximity chat still matters and you can’t just talk across the entire map.

Another cool part would be having certain creatures react to radio use. Maybe some creatures can hear the signal/noise and become more aggressive or start hunting you when you’re talking on the radio.

It would make communicating with your team useful but also add a risk to using it.
