DEFINITE plot hole in black box dating

Zip’s black box from the hot caves is dated 245k hours ago, implying that the colonists had access to the heat shock protein adaption at that time.

Wander’s black box from the spider cave is dated 235k hours ago, clearly implying that the angel comb was infected at that time.

Unless we assume that angel combs get re-infected within a little more than a year AND that the colonists LET it get re-infected (which is unlikely, given that they believed the bloom strain to be the cause of Masefield syndrome and they actively combatted it) those two dates are unreconcilable.

It’s possible that there are other Angel Combs that we cannot yet reach in Early Access. We find an Angel Comb core inside Sleep Bay 3’s adaptation lab, and there is no corresponding Angel Comb found in the world that they would have taken it from. So either removing the core caused the Angel Comb to wither and disappear, or they obtained that core outside the currently accessible game area, or something else. We do not know enough about the game to say for a certainty that there’s a plot hole. NOA could even have lied or modified the time stamps or the colonists could have changed the NOA’s time offsets intentionally to confuse it and attempt to modify its behavior.
