Reprinting has Range Limits

T

The reprinting mechanic is a great way of working respawning into the game’s narrative, however I think it would make sense if it included a couple other limitations: 1. range limits and / or 2. Sync requirements, meaning the player must remember to interface with the biobed or the NoA so that it copies the players current state. Range requirements could be based on the location of the players constructed NoA, bio-bed, This could be expanded over time by the player building biobeds and NoA’s in different locations and/or increasing the power of the biobed reprinting mechanisms through using new in game recipes or modifications to the biobed. If the player dies outside of the reprint range, and forgets to sync with the NoA / biobed, the consequences should be greater. Any recovered information, quest progress, scanner info, would be reset to the last time the player synced with the biobed and the player would have to venture out to recover their entire inventory, the NoA could help with this by uploading the location of their last death to the scanner station.
