Carrying a second air tank with you should give you the same amount of air as the first, equipped one

I really like that all items now take up one inventory slot, including spare oxygen tanks. This has made carrying an extra tank much more useful, since I like to explore without vehicles from time to time for the extra challenge. What bothers me, though, is that the spare oxygen tank - for some reason - always has a lower oxygen capacity than the equipped one (assuming equal tank types here). E.g. I’ll have a high-capacity tank equipped, and when it runs out of air, I switch to my high-capacity tank, but instead of 120 seconds of air it only has 75. As far as I understand, that’s because the air tank stacks with a base-level or air that the character has, but I don’t think that’s a level or realism that pays off, as I find the extra utility from a full 120 second improved oxygen tank more rewarding.

This would also be how it worked in SN1 from what I remember

this happens because the High Capacity O2 Tank has 75 points of O2, but as a character, you have 45. remember when you first start the game without O2 tanks and you have 45 O2? that’s what’s happening here. the 45 is your breath, the rest is the tank.
