Idea 4 — 2 New PDA Functions
Update Idea 4 — More PDA Functions
In this update, new PDA functions could be added. I have two main ideas in mind:
- Map
While exploring the Proteus region, the player could gradually expand the map on their PDA.
The first time you open the map, it would automatically start with only the Survival Pod shown, representing the information available when you first wake up.
As you explore, the map would gradually expand and reveal the areas you discover.
This would solve a problem that could only really be solved with mods in the first Subnautica: having an in-game map.
- Long-Distance Messages
There are already ideas about this here on Nolt, but I would like to reinforce the suggestion.
It could work like a messaging app, but as a PDA function. You could send long-distance messages to your friends and also receive messages from NoA.
I think these features would make the PDA more useful and immersive while also making exploration and communication easier.
I would greatly appreciate it if my nickname could be included in the update message.
