{Spoilers?}
When I have been near the world border, in the Tadpole, and face the rocky (or coral-y?) mountain ledges, I have come to find that if you turn your lights off while staring at these rock faces, the illumination from Tadpoles lights sticks for a little bit, made into a green ish tint in the water at night! Almost Exactly how some UV bioluminescent creatures and plants glow when they are in the dark depths. And this almost completely fits with the sea floor substrate being comprised of metals, Biological matter, and even some of the coral that we see around everywhere. It would be amazing for this to be worked into the lore as some sort of bioluminescent microbe or even breeds of microscopic creatures in the coral of the sea floor, similar to Irl corals!
