Giant Bound Leviathan that alters the map after being freed

I have an idea for a massive, lore-driven event involving a giant leviathan and the world infection mechanics (the Blight/World Buds). The Concept: A leviathan so enormous it takes up a massive portion of the biome, but it starts off completely bound or fused to the seabed by the infection/overgrowth.The Progression: Currently, when players destroy the world buds, they wither away. My idea is that these buds/infections are actually what is keeping this colossal leviathan trapped. As the player progresses through the story and clears these corrupted structures, the creature is gradually loosened. The Climax & “Wow” Effect: Once the final trigger is pulled, the leviathan breaks free. This creates a spectacular global event:The screen shakes violently, and a deafening, massive roar echoes across the entire map.The PDA alerts the player: “Warning: Major tectonic shift and colossal biomass movement detected.”The sudden movement of such a giant creature creates a powerful underwater current or shockwave, briefly disabling the player’s nearby vehicle power grids or pulling them into the newly opened depths.Map Alteration & New Biomes: Where the leviathan was chained, giant craters and tears are left in the seabed, opening up entrances to entirely new, deep cave systems that were previously inaccessible:The Ancient Nest: The caves hidden beneath its body could contain unique creature eggs or ancient Precursor technologies that the leviathan was protecting (or had swallowed). The Epicenter: Since it was bound by the Blight, the area beneath it could open up to the very heart of the infection—a beautiful but highly toxic biome requiring advanced suits or vehicle upgrades to explore. The Future Encounter: After it escapes, the leviathan disappears into the deep void or a hidden sector. It is so massive that it essentially acts as a “living biome” moving through the water. Later in the game, the player can unexpectedly encounter it again in the deep ocean, where its back is covered in unique flora, allowing the player to land on it to harvest rare resources. Why this would be awesome:It connects world exploration directly to tangible map changes. Seeing the world literally open up because of a giant creature breaking free would provide an incredible sense of progression, immersion, and awe.
