Wavemaker: Axum Tech-Infused Wakemaker

(Please comment instead of downvoting, wait for my response if it’s a question) The current Wakemaker is fast, but could be better. Introducing the Wavemaker, an Axum tech-infused Wakemaker with a vibe similar to the Axum architecture! Increased speed!

Axum tech upgrades for all the gear seems pretty on brand for Subnautica, so I’m on board with this

My only reservation (alien-based upgrades are already a thing, as Tricky pointed out) is we get the Tadpole pretty early on, after which the Wakemaker is hardly used. It might be situationally useful, but the Tadpole’s oxygen store and item storage is of far more general benefit.

That seems like an insignificant change for an alien modification. The same could be achieved with another fin upgrade. I think additional functionality would be more fitting, something like a boost you can trigger for speed and a defensive strike (akin to the hammerhead).

To the two disagreeing responders:
“Gryphon” The Tadpole isn’t a replacement to the Wakemaker. The Wakemaker is simply convenient. The Wavemaker can be used in the Bloom-infested regions or areas inaccessible for the Tadpole, just as the Seaglide.
“Bunky” That’s understandable, but it would be a lot better if it had a use as I stated in the other suggestion which the link redirects you to. If that’s not good, then they could come up with another. If that still isn’t good enough, it could have a map. If that’s not enough, still, it makes more sense to become faster willingly with the Wavemaker rather than having a constant boost with the fins.
