jumping spider crab like creature

it could be a leviathan, or just a really big creature. Its called the Cleaops, pronounced Clay-ops, inspired by huge spider crabs. they walk on the seafloor and jump high to catch creatures. if it detects you it will jump at you. which is easily dodgable with the dash biomod. if youre in a vehicle however, it will jump at you and if it latches onto you, it’ll weight you down if it cant weigh you down it will call other Cleaopses for help. after weighing you down to the seafloor, it will call other Cleaopses if it hasnt already, and as a team they’ll try to break your submersible and eat you. there are small windows where you can get free, like when a Cleaops roars it’ll be fully focussed on it and not you. you could try to bash your vehical against some rocks to shake them off, but that’ll damage it even further. it will try to be as silent as possible. to avoid them entirely, just traverse the sea away from the seafloor. if you couldnt wriggle free, get out of your vehicle and blast a resonator right in their faces, they’ll leave you alone that way, try not to get eaten in the process. i couldn’t think of a design for it, but im sure if this idea gets accepted, the designers can make a design for it thats way better than what i could ever imagine! i love the game and i wont mind if this idea gets denied by the community or the people at UWE. goodluck to everyone involved with Subnautica 2 and have a great day!

That’s a cool idea but it might bother people with arachnophobia if it looks like a spider at all

Can we stop being so handhold-y with the arachnophobes? Why do they get special treatment? Why does every game now have to specifically cater to that one phobia?

well, it doesnt need to to be a spider. i just said spider because its the only creature with a lot of legs that i can think of other than centipedes and millipedes. it could be a crab too, or maybe even some kind of underwater bird thing that uses its ´wings´ to get really high.
