For starters I will note I personally haven’t had a chance to play and run the game due to hardware restrictions but I have discussed ideas with friends who have and wanted to pitch in making this game even better from what I’ve seen/heard online as well.
The main focus is making the biomods better from the floor up, currently most abilties are either passive with values that feel too low to be meaningful or are useless in functionality due to niche use cases. While I do think perks are just that, additives that shouldn’t power creep mechanics/upgrades too much, giving the player the option to diversify what they want to be strong at and when, feels much better than a system that feels unimportant/unrewarding for scanning risky creatures.
Two personal ideas that would be fun in my mind would be a biomod active that allows the player to slide on floors, like a penguin, for faster base mobility and land navigation. Using the improved base building you could design long hallways for a Penguin Highway or slide down slopes/hills when fleeing/exploring.
Alternatively a passive biomod that tracks how you move in water allowing players to do up and down swimming motions like a dolphin for example could be a way to improve early game movement or allow individuals who like gimmick mechanics to find new ways to play and enjoy their experience.
Keep up the great work devs! You’ve fought hard for this game and I can’t wait to see how it grows with time!
