Earlier Grow bed

Could we get a smaller grow bed earlier in the game? I expected to find something in ‘Old Habitat’ because they specifically mention farming in one of the databank entries. Even a little pot or something. Thx!

You can reach it like 30 mins into the game. Definitely easier in 2 than it was in 1 where you had to swim all the way out to the floating island
