It would be nice if you could kill and sleep, the game wouldn’t limit you in these areas. All this doesn’t take away from the atmosphere of the game, in fact it’s an extra option, because I used it in the first part and in Below Zero, for example, but only rarely when the surprise came out just right, but just to avoid all difficulties, I didn’t use it for that. I often forget about these possibilities, but the point is, don’t let the game limit you.

Stop asking for killing. Just accept they won’t add it, please.

No, there is a reason players are asking for it and it’s not because we’re murderhobos looking to murk every fish. The game is stacked against the player either way, but when everything except the player is immortal it completely ruins the living ocean feel the first game had. In SN1 it was already ludicrously inefficient to kill something as small as a bone shark, let alone a reaper or ghost. But just the knowledge that I could fight back and kill a predator that was trying to kill me gave that little sense of realism. Taking that away changes the entire feel. Now there’s no reason to engage with the fish at all. What’s the point when it’s safer to completely ignore the immortal death machine juggernauts of the ocean instead?
