Idea on how to solve the chassis stashing problem
It has been suggested that the tadpole chassis should have some sort of storage racks so they don’t rattle around lose. Here’s an idea how to do that with minimal effort:
change the docking direction for tadpoles to be with their stern towards the dock
make undocking and alighting the tadpole deliberate actions separate from boarding and docking respectively. That is, you can sit in a docked tadpole and decide either to undock or to exit the tadpole.
if the docked tadpole is at the time mated with a chassis, give the player the choice to undock the tadpole from the chassis or the chassis from the base, e.g. pressing UP undocks the chassis from the dock, pressing DOWN releases the chassis to remain docked alone
If a chassis is docked to a dock with no tadpole, a sole tadpole can back into it and dock to it, either to remain there or to then undock the chassis and take it with it.
