Bring Back the Feeling of Long Expeditions

One of the greatest feelings in the original Subnautica was preparing for a real expedition.
Before diving into Lost River or the Lava Zone, I had to plan everything:
food,
water,
batteries,
power cells,
spare materials,
repair tools.
Cyclops wasn’t just a vehicle. It felt like a mobile home and a true expedition base.
Every deep journey felt important because turning back wasn’t always an option.
In Subnautica 2, vehicles are enjoyable, but I rarely felt like I was leaving on a dangerous expedition. I usually returned to my base much more often, which made exploration feel less meaningful.
I don’t think Subnautica 2 needs Cyclops specifically.
I hope it introduces a new vehicle—or another gameplay system—that brings back the feeling of living far away from your base during long, dangerous expeditions.
The vehicle itself isn’t what I miss.
I miss the feeling of preparing for an adventure.

I don’t miss Cyclops because of its size or appearance. I miss what it represented. It was a mobile base where I could prepare for long expeditions, store supplies, grow food, recharge batteries, and continue exploring without constantly returning home. Every journey felt like a real expedition into the unknown. That’s the feeling I hope Subnautica 2 brings back, even with a completely new vehicle.
