More realistic vehicle explosions

I think when your tadpole or any vehicles is damaged and about to explode it should be more realistic like if a leviathan bites down on your tadpole it shouldnt just be a simple explosion from the inside and outside first you should hear and see metal bending and snapping then water leaking in the glass doing a spiderweb crack and before it explodes tbe glass breaks all the water rushes in and it explodes

I like the idea of the water spraying in when the glass is compromised. A secondary effect could be that the tadpole should sink to the bottom.

That said,

Explodes or implodes?

Why should it explode?

Cars that get into accidents don’t explode.

When ships colode they don’t explode as a result of the collision.

I suppose electric cars will burn like crazy when their batteries are compromized, but they don’t really expode.
