Passive leviathan/Biome

I had an idea for a leviathan that doesn’t actively hunt the player, but when it opens its large mouth to eat other creatures the player can be swallowed. Inside the belly of the beast is a small biome with unique materials and perhaps a random assortment of materials from across the map. Players would only have a limited time inside before being digested and would have to figure out a way to also escape before that happens.

I feel like this could be something we might see in the collector’s biome, given it has a lot of varying sized great jaws..

Ah, the old Jonah and the Whale trope. Famous in Song and movie from Men in Black over Guardians of the Galaxy to Hellboy and beyond. If I gauge the size you are talking about here right, we are talking about a moderately-sized mobile cave here. I wonder if the game engine can even handle mobile topology.

That would be on a totally different level than Clamthulu, which is technically nothing more than a pair of draw bridges with a damage modifier applied to the area within.

Frankly, I can’t see coming out the other end alive. Being kneaded and compressed in the colon of some creature for literally hours while desperately trying to switch its digestion into fast-forward mode is not something even the most hardcore players would enjoy.

I could imagine a situation where you have to make to the gill bypass tubes before you get shoved into the esophagous, or your goose is essentially cooked. That would mean, you would essentially never see anything of the creature past the mouth cavity. That might be in the same scope as a Clamthulu.

Question I ask myself, would you have to fight your way past a somewhat irate collector inside that mouth? Or would it be more marrowbreach-sized?

Maybe there can be more Axum Bacteria samples in the stomach and more potential builds, like an axum health station and Axum Fruit trees
