Some signals are really important, like the Tadpole that’s just above and behind you and you really need to get back into before you get eaten. Marking a signal as Priority would make it’s icon much larger, keep it visible even when close (especially when close), and allow it to track along the edge of FoV. The goal is to always be able to orient on a high-priority signal. Or at least the closest vehicle.

Totally, agree and had the same experience. Used the in game feedback function for that. It’s probably better suited here though.
When reworking signals, there should be also the other option of “low priority signals” or signals that disappear when too far away. Or even better: a max distance setting for each of them. I have placed a few beakons and have build many bases to have a wide scanner range cover - but the many signals are spamming my vision. I don’t want to switch them on and off all the time - signal setting that allow you to show only the currently relevant signals would be great!

Perhaps an additional ping signal for Tapdole would be good.

So I think the keeping the signal on even when close should be a toggleable option for signal pings. Back in Subnautica I actully drowned a few times because it was night in the mushroom forest I got out of my Seamoth went around scanning things got disoriented and then could not find my Seamoth even though the only light was from it’s headlights. If the signal was still there even though I was close to it I would have been fine. Oh and probubly important to say but at that time my Seamoth’s interiour and exteriour paint jobs were the same and a color/shade that blended into the darkness really well… because of that I have a personal rule that interiours and exteriours need to be dramaticly different colors lol
