Wander's Original Audio Effects

Adaptive Measures has brought so many perfect improvements to this game that got me playing it again after I felt like I was hitting a wall. I’m loving it, but there’s one huge thing that I feel was a negative change: Wander’s Viral Bloom voice lines. It seems the original audio effect that made Wander’s voice distorted and whispery has been removed.

It was so atmospheric and creepy before, immediately drawing me in to investigate the bloom. Without the audio effect Wander just sounds like a sad birthday clown now. I feel like this might have been changed bc the distortion made it hard for some people to understand, but 1) who doesn’t play with subtitles nowadays, and 2) surely there’s a happy medium where Wander could still have some distortion instead of none? All the horror is gone.
