Confusion surrounding the third NoA node

I’m recalling this from a month ago so sorry if there’s any errors, but I do remember being confused about how to progress when reaching the alien outpost. I didn’t realise the NoA node there needed to be fitted with a battery, perhaps due to several reasons; The battery terminal for this NoA node is in a separate room of the seabase and linked only subtly with a cable, making it less obvious that the two were linked. I also think the fact that the map currently going from a sprawling area to a narrow two-way passage and back to a sprawling area again also contributed to my disorientation around this area.

While I admit this oversight with needing to power the NoA node was partly my fault, I think it would be worth considering if its battery terminal should be moved closer in the base relative to it in order to avoid unnecessary confusion.
