When I first saw that we could hang on to the sides of tadpoles, I imagined using flares while tagging along as a mobile distraction to get creatures away from important areas. Or being a repair man with the repair tool (To balance this, the tadpole should only be repaireable while hanging on when it isn’t moving, so that it’s more convenient without making repairing overpowered).
So it was kind of disappointing when we couldn’t use any of our tools. I think that one handed tools should all be usable to a degree. Things like flashlights, scanners, and multitools are all one handed and therefore should be usable. But flares are an interesting case, as you actually use the other hand to pull the cap off. Logically you couldn’t even just wack the flare against the tadpole, as the cap is twist based. But theres got to be a way. It’s too cool.
Now I do understand that making animations for these things would also probably be very difficult. But you have been able to pull off some freaking magic with the animations in this game already, so I wouldn’t say it’s quite out of reach.

I say the personal locker should also be able to be carried when one arm is on the tadpole hook thing, because the other hand can hold onto the grip on one end and have it dragged along with the player in the same way that the player is dragged by the tadpole.
The one handed tools should be swappable while still holding onto the tadpole.
EG: one of two flashlight holders pulls out the repair tool while the tadpole stops moving for a quick repair.
That wouldnt include the storage locker idea I put forth, as you would need to hold onto that for it to follow ya. Tho thats less of a limit and more just how reality works, cant dragg a box while holding onto something AND using a tool XD
