Tadpole Flare Dispener/Fabricator

Like in SN a distraction system but this time for small vehicles or a flare fabricator like the medkit fabricator in SN

Would this work similar to how the vortex torpedo shot out from the seamoth? Having that done with a special, larger, flare that lasts longer and is specifically for this use would be amazing.
Plus that would fully comply with the dev’s wishes to not harm stuff (even when it activly hunts us for dinner) cuz its just a big longer lasting flare.
