Change Music Composer

No offence to Ben Prunty at all. I don’t believe that he quite captures the feel of Subnautica like Simon Chylinski did. I think part of why Subnautica: Below Zero was less memorable was partially due to the music. Subnautica 1’s music is very well regarded. In fact, perhaps it could be taken a step further, with a collaboration between Simon Chylinski and Lena Raine. This could potentially give an unbelievably good soundtrack to the game.

I really enjoy the Subnautica 2 soundtrack! I don’t think it’s quite as eerie as the Subnautica 1 soundtrack, and unfortunately I have not played Below Zero (or fortunately, depending on how you view the game). However, I really do enjoy the music of both games, and the Shallows theme in particular is really good in Subnautica 2. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the soundtrack takes away from Subnautica 2, but it might be less than the perfect masterpiece that was Subnautica 1.

The soundtrack has already been composed, though, or is already chosen and mostly finished. Music is incredibly difficult to make, and I doubt they would completely scrap the soundtrack they already have.

I believe Unknown Worlds do not want to work with Chylinski due to a lot of significant hateful comments he made against non-europeans and trans-people

As much as I think the soundtrack here isn’t as strong as the first game, it’s not so bad that I could understand wanting to fire the composor and start from scratch. It’s a fine soundtrack as it is.
