I think that you should make the far away models a little better. At the moment, on any setting except epic, the model from far away (like 15 - 20 meters) is very choppy and some parts cover others.

This would be a massive burden on your graphics card. I think it makes sense that it gets only implemented when the player knows my PC can handle epic settings.

This is likely a console consideration as consoles have far less memory than the average PC gaming rig. That’s why we’re constantly hearing manufactured drama over “downsized graphics” from prerelease to release of nearly every video game in existence these days.
Some game studios release a high quality texture pack for PC users after full release of the game, but I’m assuming higher quality is covered by the epic setting in Sub 2. No idea if models might also have more polygons on epic. This sort of thing has most often been handled by mod authors for PC users in the past. I know of one studio, which shall remain nameless, that has far too long relied on the free labor of mod authors to finish and polish their games. I’m most impressed that UW appears to have taken it upon themselves to do that instead of just downgrading them for console and releasing that to PC players as well.
I can’t run it on epic settings. My PC is too old.
