A full-fledged damage system

A

It would be nice to have creatures still be a threat even when in the base. Small creatures like the nibbler mango, would never attack.(They would just be annoying) Medium sized creatures like marrow breach and hammerheads would attack fairly rarely and you could fix the damage with only a repair tool. And since the marrow breach navigates by electrical signals, it could even attack the part of the base that you are in. Then alpha marrow breaches and needler mangoes would have slightly more damage. Finally, leviathans would tear actual holes in the wall. To repair and fix the leak, you would need the builder tool. Since that would become very tedious and annoying, it would only happen if you ran into the base while it was chasing you. This would give you an incentive to use flares so that your base isn’t damaged. Also, for all creatures, glass is easier to damage.

“Base raids” are a generic survival game staple I’d just as soon not see come to Subnautica. The more copycat “survival game” mechanics that creep in, the less like Subnautica the IP feels to me personally. If implemented, I sincerely hope an option is provided to turn it off.
