Hard Points

Have run into situations where i have discovered something and can’t find my way back to it later. a beacon would be great, but you have to carry the hab builder tool and the mats - which is several inventory slots. since there seem to be several hardpoints on the tadpole i was wondering if we could attach a beacon there ? would be handy. thanks.
