I’m a big fan of the creative opportunities the new base building system introduces, I feel like I have to put a ton of work into figuring out room size and layout to make a base. I miss the multipurpose room and large rooms as I felt they were simple and well-designed, and I especially miss the moonpool.
An option for preset rooms like a multipurpose room or a moonpool I think would help with this a lot. Being able to just throw down a couple of rooms also would be good for people who don’t enjoy base-building as a core component, while the existing option is great for people who want more creative freedom.
You could make the presets fairly expensive if you want to encourage people to explore the current mechanics, or make it so the recipes are found a bit later on than the components.
