Hi developer team,
Suggestion for Immersion: Make Creatures Feel Like Living Things, Not Invincible Objects.
I love the survival aspect of this game, but I feel there is a huge disconnect in how creatures are handled, which heavily breaks immersion.
Currently, players have limited lives, but smaller creatures and predators are completely invincible. Smaller creatures have no HP; we cannot accidentally kill them with weapons or vehicles. They just feel like “harvestable food items” rather than living things. On the other hand, predators are completely indestructible, leaving us with no option but to distract them with flares.
This creates a strange gap: the player is a fragile mortal, while everything else is an indestructible object or hazard.
I completely understand that you don’t want this game to turn into Monster Hunter. We don’t need complex combat. However, giving creatures HP and allowing them to die would make the world feel so much more real.
Please make the creatures and the player equal parts of the same living world. Thank you for considering!

I do miss the morbid humor of accidentally plastering small fish on my Seamoth’s window. It added a lot to the immersion.
