Base Damage system(s)

The idea of having to “defend” your base sounds like a fun extra level of immertion. Could have higher aggression and lower aggression zones ie obviously if you build in the immidiate vicinity of a leviathan you might wanna defend or reinforce your base to the max. or if you build in the safeshallows you need minimal to zero defences or reinforcments. to keep lore/developer friendly the defenses dont have to kill they could just deter, and reinforcements which im sure are going to be added in some capacity anyhow such ad reinforced walls, glass (already have enameld). For the defenses you could have sonar pulses that deter fish because the sound or maybe for the depths the lights could deter light sensitive animals… you get where im going. maybe not full on base defense stratagy but id like to have to have a reason to go back to some of my bases. Also… it would be just horrifying to turn around and see the collector or other future leviathans just out your window staring and getting ready to attack. What happens when your base is “destroyed”? It simply floods and the power stops working which makes lights and such flicker. this would give a good reason to seperate your base aswell using bulkheads… just a thought.
